Hi everyone,
Need some help deciding which way to go.
I posted a few weeks ago looking for a mentor for a no-code agency in Africa, I connected with some people and I thank you all for your feedback.
During this time I've been playing around with some ideas and would like to start a productized service around transcription, comments & posts repurposing.
I was born and raised in a tiny landlocked country that was the theater of horrible events 26 years ago... you guessed it Rwanda.
I've lived in Belgium for the past 20 ans.
Well Rwanda is now on the rise and we are starting a VA service but I have never done anything like this so your help would be much appreciated.
Cheapreneur provides affordable VA's for busy startup founders; simple transparent pricing starting @ 99€/month.
audio from a video or voice note
facebook live
zoom meetings or calls
we transcribe these audio files and make a short form content for social media
I don't know about you but I have seen this in many different facebook groups or on IH; every now and then someone will do an in-depth post on a topic or take time to reply and provide value that you naturally want to check their profile out or slide them a DM, in case you are wondering I do more reading than posting :)
So, why not share this beyond that one facebook group or IH comment?
Just like The Little Thumb leaves bread crumbs along the way, am sure you leave valuable crumbs here and there on a daily basis.
We take your comments and posts, repurpose them for another social media.
I hope I made my idea clear, English is not my first language.
We will provide both services in French and English.
What do you guys think?
Thank you,
Nadia
Hello Nadia,
This sounds very interesting! There's a big market for affordable VA services. I'd love to chat more.
I have extensive experience with similar projects in India, and I am happy to share some knowledge on what works and what does not.
One of the interesting aspects of this is that you are indeed at an advantage price-wise, but I don't think you should limit yourself to that.
The low price you are able to offer for work is fantastic as saving money is a big priority for a lot of companies, however, you should also know your worth and not work for pennies when people are happy to pay more.
I have some interesting ideas you may be interested in on how to position yourself as not only an affordable resource, but also one that is incredibly valuable, and therefore worthy of a higher price tag.
I love this kind of project, as it provides a very unique opportunity to take advantage of economic differences and improve the lives of those in developing countries, as well as those in more wealthy nations. I think it is a delicate balancing act to make sure you are taking advantage of the exchange rate to benefit the customer, but also providing the skills and career trajectory to your staff so that they can not only get a living wage, but even, if they wish, become rather wealthy in their own country with the right support.
Just tried to send you a quick email but the email address doesn't work.
Feel free to reach out when you get a chance.
Kind regards,
Nadia
Hi Luke,
Thank you for your long detailed feedback. I love how you understand the purpose of such a service in a third world country. Happy to chat at your best convenience.
I decided to drop cheapreneur and I am going for 250BPO, 250 is the country code in case you are wondering.
Thanks again and talk to you soon :)
Have a great weekend
That name is really great, I love it!!
I've sent you over an email :)
