Check out our landing page with a bonus 💸

Hey 👋 (awkward shy wave)

Ever felt like your work was as purposeless and draining as Dracula no matter how many free lunches or company retreats you were offered?

Us too! That’s why we’re on a mission to rethink how work places engage their employees and help every company become a world changing workplace.

This is our first ever absolute bare bones of a landing page ☠️

I would love to hear your impressions of our ‘what we’re building page’ https://www.flockit.io/what-we-re-building

All feedback would be gratefully received!

The bonus is that whilst you’re on our landing site to read, you should also take part in our live survey and get the chance to win a £150 ( or the equivalent in USD) to donate to a charity of your choice 💸

    Hi Claire,

The about page works good for a bare bones landing page. Some things I would suggest to change are:

    1. The size of logo is very big. It's even bigger than the h1. The logo captures a lot of attention because it's the same color as the headline. Make the logo smaller to bring more focus to the problem Flock is trying to solve.

    2. The navbar links text is large and in bold. Consider 14 or 16px font-size with a normal font-weight for a better hierarchy.

    3. I like the progression of the narrative. It's three different stages:
1st headline => What Flock helps you achieve?
      2nd, 3rd, 4th => Highlighting the problem
5th => How Flock will help you do it?
But the same color usage makes it hard to ingest it this way. Make it easier for the visitor. Use some more colors or light backgrounds to segment the copy. This will help Flock tell the story that they want to share with the potential customer.

Hope this helps, good luck for your future endeavors.

An open ended question: what tech stack have you used to build the site?

Amazing, thank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback, it is much appreciated 🤗

The design work was actually all done by my girlfriend (her first attempt at web design as she has no prior experience just a good eye for design!)

We'll review your thoughts together and get on with making some tweaks.

She built it using Wix ✨

Alright, sorry if I'm a bit blunt but here you go:

    1. It's difficult to read, the quickest solution I would see is to increase the weight of your font. Long solution: I think you used green as a background for the idea of environment, but maybe you could come back to a white one and put some illustrations for example.

    2. You have too much text. I'm not sure many will read that much. Maybe you could put a button somewhere "do you want to know more" and write a whole article about all these ideas.

    3. You explain the problem, but I didn't see anywhere what's your solution. I want to understand the problem quicker and I want to know what could bring your solution in my life, how it could help me specifically. "A solution for putting purpose in the hands of your employees " doesn't tell me that, it's too vague.

    Hope it helps!

      Hey Matthieu,

Bluntness is always appreciated (we are big fans of Radical Candor)

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts ✨

We are actually still working on the solution bit 🙈 We have a solution, but articulating it concisely is the challenge - I'll give you a wave when we get that live on the website, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Sure! I'll be happy to help.
