Chrome web store extension small tile not getting published
I have added small tile in the store assets but when I look up the extension in the search, it shows extension icon and not the small tile. This has been going on for several weeks and I believe the cause is Google getting sloppy with their web store practices. Has anyone else noticed this? More importantly, any way to get it to update without opening some ticket?
Yes. The same issue. Tried many ideas but anyway promo tiles don't work.
This is what I was suspecting; that it is an issue at their end. I have updated the tiles and resubmitted the app to see if anything works. I think it makes the store presence look sloppy which then affects number of installs. I have submitted the same extension to both chrome and edge stores and getting a lot more interaction through edge. Not being able to update these tiles is not helping. I think they do some manual review on them and have completely stopped since covid.

What does your manifest look like for the icons?
These are the tiles specified in the web store listing that show up when you search for extension. They need to be added through the UI.
