Chrome Web store seo stats tools?

Hey Indie Hackers,

I've recently released my first side project on the Chrome Web store. From the past few months I've added the default Google analytics to the listing but I also used extpose.com and chrome-stats.com. While these provide some great statistics on your Chrome extensions, showing the general trends, are there any other tools that are used often with the Chrome Web store for SEO purposes?

Related to Chrome Web store seo, so far I can definitely recommend adding languages, this has helped me grow to 260 users as it gained traction from a blogger in a different language. I drew the conclusion to add the language from seeing that my second largest userbase was french :)

Happy growing! :)

    Hello,

I am the creator of chrome-stats.com, and also the creator of ModHeader and other Chrome extensions. I found this post from looking at referral to my website :-)

As I have shared on chrome-stats, the majority of Chrome extensions have less than <1000 users, so you are not alone in the struggle. I have found having good promo images, high quality screenshots, and good keywords in your extension name + description will help a lot. It will also be easier to get installation if your extensions do not request a lot of permissions (use optional permissions if it is not absolutely critical). And of course, just a few reviews will help differentiate your extension from half of the other extensions out there.

Having high quality links to your extension will help too. Most of the time, your extension is buried deep underneath thousands of other extensions. Having a different channel where your potential users can discover your extension will help. Once you gain some traction then it will grow organically.

    Good luck with your extension!
