Circle just accepted my stablecoin payment gateway into their Alliance Program. Here's what I learned building it.
I’m building Fivo, a payment gateway that helps online merchants accept USDC and EURC through a simple integration. Last week, Circle officially accepted Fivo into the Circle Alliance Program.
For context, Circle is the company behind USDC. Their Alliance Program brings together banks, fintechs, payment companies, and infrastructure teams building around stablecoin payments.
What I think made the difference is that the product is real. Not just a landing page or a deck, but a working payment gateway live on mainnet across 9 blockchains, with Arc testnet already integrated. It includes automatic invoicing in 22 languages, multiple integration modes, and a demo environment anyone can try.
The biggest lesson so far is this:
Merchants do not care about blockchains, bridges, or routing logic.
They care about whether the payment works, settlement is fast, and operations stay manageable.
That means the real challenge is not making stablecoin payments technically possible. It is making them simple enough for real online businesses to actually use.
Fivo is still early, but joining the Circle Alliance Program gave me stronger validation that the direction is right: make stablecoin checkout feel as simple and practical as modern online payments should be.
If you run an online business or work in payments, I’d genuinely love your perspective:
What would it take for you to consider accepting stablecoins?
