What do you think about building a business listing marketplace but allowing business to claim their listing via a unique url. Is this a good growth strategy to pursue? Are there existing marketplaces that does this or have done it in the past with success?
Please share your thoughts.
Hi Stanley. I'm unclear as to what is meant by "claim their listing via a unique url". Would this be a growth strategy for your business or for the businesses on the marketplace. If yours, it'll be hard to determine whether or not it'll be a good strategy without understanding what your business is or what it does. Also, what kind of business would be listed on the marketplace? Software? e-Commerce? Other?
Hey @ElijahGeorge, thanks for your input. I'm basically trying to create a marketplace to discover developers & software development agencies in specific tools/platforms - Prodstarter
I was thinking of listing agencies on the platform using their existing available online content and adding a way for those agencies to claim their profile.
Got it. So it's like a job board, which sounds like you'll have quite a lot of competition. What are you planning on doing to get some recognition and perhaps differentiate? It sounds like you're focusing on a tools-specific approach which may be the key.
Yes, I'm tools-specific and that I think is my differentiating factor.
