Hey everyone π
I spend most of my day switching between macOS for design and development and Windows for testing, and one small feature I constantly missed on macOS was clipboard history β the ability to access everything youβve copied with a simple shortcut.
On macOS, the clipboard only keeps your most recent copy, and every screenshot gets saved as a separate file on the desktop. Over time, that small limitation turned into constant friction in my workflow.
So, I built ClipCare β a lightweight macOS utility that:
After launch, I received some great feedback from users that helped shape the next updates:
Both are live in the latest version, making ClipCare even more seamless to use.
If youβre someone who copies and pastes all day or deals with frequent screenshots, give ClipCare a try β it might just make your Mac workflow a little smoother (and your desktop a little cleaner π).

Iβm always open to feedback and new feature ideas, so feel free to share your thoughts β would love to hear from you!
The pairing of 'runs locally' + 'no API keys' is undervalued positioning. It speaks to the technical buyer who has already been burned by SaaS tools that changed pricing, added rate limits, or went down at the wrong moment.
The one-time purchase model makes sense when the tool does a defined job well. What's the job this tool does?
The friction you identified between macOS and Windows workflows is something so many of us experience daily but never think to solve. ClipCare addresses a real productivity gap with clean execution. Your responsiveness to user feedback with launch at startup and custom shortcuts shows you're listening and iterating thoughtfully.
cool, unfortunately i can't check this out ( windows user here), but i like the process and how it save time,
actually i am building a browser extension to save anything you find online in one place with one click, also adding multi source to a single item ( so you can gather all the related information in in place), you can also categorize items, set a reminder and more.
