Can anyone explain the difference between the two? I check the two metrics a few times a day, and the number of "unique visitors" on cloudflare is consistently 2-3x greater than the "pagieviews" on google analytics?
I provide our sponsor with our google analytics numbers since they're smaller, but I'm wondering if any of you have run into this issue. Which platform do you use for your metrics?
Cloudflare tracks unique users server side. So even if users got adblock, cloudflare can track them as "unique visitor".
If you target audience is very technical, a lot of users have adblock installed.
I'm working on splitbee.io – an analytics platform, so only using my own product for all other projects!
Understood, thanks! You track your data "in-house" then?
basically yes. but you can use Splitbee too :)
We even introduced custom domain support today, that allows you to work around ad blockers!
