I launched Cloudia Chat for macOS with AI chat, real-time web search, deep research, PDF/DOCX/TXT analysis, image analysis, chat history, and a native Mac-style interface.

I’m not treating lifetime as “unlimited usage forever with no limits.” The idea is to offer lifetime access with reasonable fair-use limits, while keeping the app sustainable through usage monitoring, optimized model routing, and careful control of higher-cost features like deep research, web search, and document/image analysis.
Really like the flexible pricing approach here. For AI apps, monthly subscriptions make sense because of ongoing costs, but giving users weekly, yearly, and lifetime options feels much more user-friendly.
As a Mac user, I’d definitely prefer a native app over another browser tab if the experience is faster, cleaner, and built properly for macOS. The lifetime option is especially interesting for people who don’t want another subscription.

For an AI Mac app like Cloudia Chat, I think a small monthly fee makes more sense than lifetime access, mainly because AI usage has ongoing API and server costs.
As a user, I’d prefer an affordable monthly plan with a free trial, so I can test the app first and only keep paying if it actually saves me time. Lifetime access is attractive, but only if it comes with fair usage limits.
For serious AI tools, monthly feels more sustainable and trustworthy.
