After months of rebuilding, we finally shipped V2 of CloudStick. https://cloudstick.io
Not going to pretend this was a smooth journey. It wasn’t.
We had to rework core architecture, deal with data merge issues, and even lost ~8 hours of work due to a hardware failure right before launch. That pushed timelines, created pressure, and forced us to rethink parts of the system from scratch.
But V2 is now live, and it feels like a proper foundation instead of a patchwork.
A bit of context:
We currently manage 4000+ web applications across 100+ countries. As usage grew, we started hitting limitations in performance, scalability, and visibility. That’s what pushed us to rebuild.
Here’s what changed in V2:
One thing we focused heavily on was reducing friction. Most users don’t want to think about infrastructure every day. They just want things to work, load fast, and scale when needed.
We’re also working on what’s next:
We’re still fixing a few issues that came out of the migration, especially around merged data and backups. Not perfect yet, but moving fast.
Would genuinely like feedback from other founders or devs here:
What’s one thing you hate about current server / hosting panels?
Trying to see if we’re solving the right problems or just the ones we experienced ourselves.
That sounds like a really tough journey, good on you for pushing through it! I happen to know a few other indie founders who deal with server/hosting panels and would probably be happy to answer your questions for free.
