Code/Data ownership for No-Code?

Hey all, I am currently in the process of building Metalist, essentially a platform for building list style websites. If you get creative, the list of things you can do is infinite, but my questions goes more around what builders think about giving the actual code (like Campfire does) would be beneficial? I think it makes sense that if you buy something, you want to own it, but perhaps no-code users would not be so comfortable dealing with the code (probably the reason why they went no code in the first place).
