Cognitive Biases of your USERS/ CUSTOMERS
One of my goals is to understand why users actually use my competitors product . Why are users biased toward 1 product than another .
Cognitive biases are systematic patterns of deviation from norm or rationality in judgment, and are often studied in psychology and behavioral economics.
To understand these biases you must 1st understand Decision-making, belief, and behavioral biases .

Confirmation bias
The tendency to search for, interpret, focus on and remember information in a way that confirms one's preconceptions
Confirmation bias
People display this bias when they gather or remember information selectively, or when they interpret it in a biased way. The effect is stronger for desired outcomes, emotionally charged issues, and for deeply entrenched-beliefs.

Preferences for either option A or B change in favor of option B when option C is presented, which is completely dominated by option B (inferior in all respects) and partially dominated by option A .
Cross-race effect
The tendency for people of one race to have difficulty identifying members of a race other than their own
The "hot-hand fallacy"
(also known as the "hot hand phenomenon" or "hot hand") is the belief that a person who has experienced success with a random event has a greater chance of further success in additional attempts.
Cheerleader effect
The tendency for people to appear more attractive in a group than in isolation.
