Hello Indiehackers!
I have few questions about cold emailing during job search.
So I have been an indiehacker for some time now and built few projects like Letternerd - an AI powered letter and letter cards generation tool but projects like this are not easily monetizable and generate enough income.
I'm 20 and will be graduating from college next month. So I think it's more safer to look for a job pending the time someone will be able to take enough startups risk.
I want to try out cold emailing to companies founders that may be interested in hiring a mid level marketing/automation specialist, I have close to 3 years of experience. I'm hoping to target companies with 1-25 employees. I currently have a personal website, obhox.com
My questions are :
Does cold emails work for job searching? For a full time or contracting roles and if there's a way to go about it.
Do I use my personal email like ...@gmail.com or a professional email like ...@obhox.com (my website email), I also have an extra domain that I can use like getobhox.com that may look professional. But is it better to use my personal email or a website email.
Also, if anyone have other approach apart from cold emails that's better for job searching. I will really appreciate the advices.
