College Bot - Can you tell what my app does? Would you want to download it? (If you were in the market)

I'd give it a shot. One thing is I'd bump your power statement above the fold to get people interested before putting the early button on them. Colleges is spelled wrong in the first paragraph. Good luck with it!
Yeah you're so right about that, it's really in your face on mobile (which I'm guessing you're using?) And that's embarrassing! I'd better do a full proofread, too much of it was written after 2am haha.. thanks for checking it out!
I would probably give it a go if I were in the process. But maybe more because I like to try out things, than I think I would help me choose a university. Not quite sure of the benefits beyond making a list of the ones I already would be interested in. Maybe some bigger screens and different header in the "data, data, data" section would spark my imagination.

Thanks for the feedback! I will work on highlighting the benefits, and mostly pointing out which problems I'm trying to solve.
The hero section does a great job get the point of the app across--to help high school students find colleges that would be a good fit for them.
I think your filtering gets a lot of the must-haves (eg: cost, location, etc.), but I think the more critical thing for people who know what path they're interested in is around majors. Not just "does this school have an arts program", but are they "well know or respected for their arts program". That's probably a much more difficult data problem to solve, but I think it's an important one.

The site is very nice and clean. However, if I was a college student, I would want to know HOW it helps me find a college. The landing page (to me) just tells me that it does help, but my skeptical brain keeps going "well, how? it looks like it just shows me colleges which is exactly what a google search does". If you put "we help you find colleges by:...." and then list a few of your interesting and unique ways you help find colleges, I would be ready to download and try it out.
The 'how' is the hidden thing about almost all the products, people expect you to buy them without knowing the underpinnings.
Like how the landing page looks for sure. That will be based only USA right?
Thanks! Yeah, it's US only, mostly just because I'm using Department of Education data for the colleges and I don't know where I'd get the same type of information for international schools.
I think the app would help people to find the best college for them. Is that true? 🙂
