Colors Are Freaking Confusing! (Quick Poll)
Hi Hackers!
I am developing a product to help people to get email addresses for sales purposes, called Lion Leads (https://lionleads.app). Just enter a domain name and we give you emails at that domain, titles, and even some LinkedIn profiles. Our main target user is a sales or marketing person.
I am having trouble picking the right color scheme for this product and would love your opinion.

Can I put something out there... Why do you need a color?
I think your icon has a very strong shape, so why not keep it flexible and change colors? Take this case study for example:

I know, spotify is typically green and black, but they explore all the time with their logo in different colors and their logo is still recognizable.

Or I say use a range now, and see which one performs better in whatever you're trying to do (more engagement, more signups, etc.) Then your users will help you point out which color is best for your product.
Side Note: I would only use colors 'you' like, as you'll be seeing them 24/7 ;)

Have you explored any solid colour options? The gradients make the logos feel a little dated in my opinion.
You may want to stay away from purple though, as it may look too similar to the Premier League logo.
Oh damn! I thought gradients still were cool. I kind of liked the gradient, but what color you thinking I should play with?
I didn’t even know about Premier League (one of those people who don’t watch sports). Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
It might be looking into the meanings behind colours, that may help you to decide on a colour to go with.
It might also be helpful to have a look through sites like this: https://www.underconsideration.com/brandnew/archives/category/editorial/reviewed/
They review branding changes (not just logos either) so you might be able to find some inspiration from there.
It looks as if you're still in the early stages of your product though. The great thing about that is you can be quite agile with your brand. If you find the colour doesn't work for your users, you can change it :)

I definitely prefer the solid colour over the gradient.
Something to be aware of, the red you've used doesn't meet contrast accessibility guidelines for smaller text - this may make it hard for some people to read. You may want to consider a darker shade of red. This tool is helpful to check colour contrast. Ideally, you want to be meeting AA guidelines as a minimum. AAA isn't always possible - it can be limiting on the colours you can use.
Also, the logo looks pixellated around the edges on my screen.
