Colors Feedback

Hi all! Working with the colors and branding on my product right now. I was wondering if you could provide some feedback on the color scheme? The main colors are shown in the hero image on the landing page https://shaka.live/. Thank you so much!

To go along with your wave theme, keeping to teals and blues definitely makes sense. I liked the gradient at the bottom of the landing page. Have you tried having a gradient as the background to the product? That would also reinforce the wave theme and make the product a bit livelier.

Right now the product feels a bit heavy with so much of the dark color. I think adding more white to the design could help, like making the event cards white.

In terms of the overall branding, the logo is very fun and tells me that this site is mostly for events like parties, concerts, and other fun hangouts for younger or young at heart people. But then the body font is very boring and the rest of the product and landing page aren't that energetic.

So whether this is supposed to be for any type of event (like for families) or is more targeted to a particular niche or demographic, the fonts and overall design could be more consistent.

Thank you for the feedback! Yes I had the more teal theme for the background but then transitioned to the darker blue/green, but yes I might revert back. Making the font more fun is a great idea. My target group are individuals, creatives, artists, and small businesses that can't afford the larger platforms. I'll try the white card idea and lighter background. So you think the screenshot of the product itself is a bit too heavy? Lighter theme might be best?

Yeah, the landing page has more balance with the color, but the product doesn't feel very fresh or exciting. The photos aren't really popping on that background and UI elements like the search box and the View buttons are hard to see.

Also one small note, the headline "Start date" is really big on each card, but is probably unnecessary. Instead the date font should be bigger, with the date larger and the time a little smaller.

I think the gradient is an improvement, but I would still recommend using white for the cards or the whole background behind the cards. The images should be bigger and pop from the background, with less wasted space for each card. Eventbrite and Airbnb are good examples.

Right now the colors are kind of in-between dark and light themes, so it feels a bit flat. If you're going after more nightlife-type events dark-theme could be a good fit and differentiator, but in that case the background should probably be darker, and you'll still want to look for good contrast (like Spotify).

Want to follow up and say thank you so much for the valuable feedback! I have taken your thoughts and been completely redesigning the colors. Everything now is simpler or more like a basic light theme with pops of color. Will post an update soon. Thank you again!
