Come for the Network, Pay for the Tool

I'm still waiting for a tool that does all this, I have the community, I'm just waiting for the right tool. I love Discord and Slack, but a knowledge base is horribly executed in their free tiers.

What I'd be looking for is a web app, that combines a membership paywall, with a free forum of some sort, chat mixed in with a forum like database, that keeps people updated on community going ons within seconds of logging in without inundating them with too much information.

comradery.io looks close, but I still can't get into there beta
