Coming Soon: Make Emacs Awesome (Book)

I was recently interested in trying out VS Code to see if I was missing out on anything since I've been using Emacs for the past 5 years. I bought "Make VS Code Awesome" by @calebporzio to get myself up to speed on the best workflow.

It's a good book! And if you are a VS Code user there are probably cool things you can learn from it.

However, it seems even at its best there are important areas where VS Code cannot measure up to Emacs for me.

I have been wanting to write something about Emacs for a while now. I've put at least tens of hours into my setup over the past five years, and it feels like it might be useful to write the guide to software development in emacs that I would have wanted way back when.

I came up with this sprawling thread a while back, but what I really want to do is write a book.

And I didn't have the right framing of it until I read Caleb's Make VS Code Awesome. I knew right away there needs to be a corresponding course for Emacs.

So here is my coming soon page for "Make Emacs Awesome", a book that I will slowly start writing and begin writing more quickly if lots of people express interest :)

Would appreciate any thoughts, etc. If this seems like it would be of use to anyone, please reach out!
