Community for growth marketers?

Do any of you know of a good community for sharing growth marketing/ sales tactics? I'd love to share some of the outbound/inbound strategies I've found to be successful, and learn from others in the space as well.

I've looked at websites such as growthhackers.com or inbound.or

people seem to be just trying to sell stuff to each other.

That's a LOT of marketing communities, especially if they're completely free and open. IH seems to be rare in that there's more genuine sharing than self promo, it's why I keep coming back.

So I totally agree with @rosiesherry and @louisswiss - this is one of my fav places to learn and share these days. There are definitely some signal to noise challenges but it tends to be worth my time to see what others are up to, what's working, and what people are struggling with.

Outside of IH, https://trafficthinktank.com is a really great paid community focused on SEO but also has lots of expertise among its members and guests beyond strictly search. It's run by a friend of mine here in Philly - @NickEubanks. He's on my short list of trustworthy SEOs and refuses surround himself with the usual marketing schlock. Might be worth checking out!

Thanks Alex! I'll go ahead and check out trafficthinktank! Yeah Indie Hackers has a great community, I actually reached out to a founder last week and am now getting coffee with him in Vancouver! Super great responsive community -- love it and want to contribute back myself!

Here at IH? :) I say in jest, but am also serious.

Lots of real sharing going on here. e.g. #30daysofgrowth and I'd be very surprised if @louisswiss wouldn't jump into help on any sales type question :)

Thanks Rosie! #30daysofgrowth is an excellent idea -- I'll check in there and see what's going on. Also just listened to your interview with @csallen while meal prepping the other day. Loved your selflessness and positive/helpful attitude. It definitely rubbed off on me :)

      Thanks for the mention @rosiesherry!

@tbrownio I think Indie Hackers is the perfect place to share that kind of stuff. Even more so in the future probably, as @csallen seems to have some kind of group functionality in mind.

There's some self-promotion stuff on here (including from me), but there's a lot of useful stuff being posted as well.

And some surprisingly impressive founders/marketers/experts hang around and answer questions. @alexhillman, @brennandunn, @mijustin and @Fersh to name just a few.

Other than IH, I'm not really an expert on those kind of communities. Not really something I seek out.

But one I would recommend to at least try is the SaaS Growth Hacks Facebook group run by Aaron Krall.

No, I'm not a fan of 'growth hacks'. But there are some seriously experienced marketers and founders in that group, and the quality of discussion is quite high.

      Good luck!

Thanks so much for the thoughtful response! I'll definitely follow those people and see if I can't learn a thing or two. Yeah I don't like the term 'growth hacks' either. Marketing also doesn't feel like the right term for what I'm doing either. Like it's 1/3 business development, 1/3 marketing, and 1/3 sales. IDK maybe that's just because I work at a startup.
