Competitor monitoring platform - Feature requests?
Hi everyone,
I'm the founder of Glimpse (a B2B SaaS for competitor monitoring). Currently building in stealth mode & looking for suggestions for our product roadmap.
I'd like to hear which features you think could be valuable to add to the platform (either MVP or later).
Currently on the roadmap already:
- Viewing all Meta/Google/Linkedin ads from your competitors
- See the tech stack & tools that they're using
- Get notified when they publish a new blog post
- Get notified about changes on their key website pages (pricing, etc..)
- Get notifications when key employees leave/join
- Get notifications when they post something on their social channels
- (basic) SEO insights: backlinks, etc..
- ...
What other suggestions would you have?
Here are my two cents.
I am not sure who your ICP but if I was in your shoes, I'd look at this platform differently.
Getting notified about these things is okay, most of them are not immediately actionable and even those that are require effort.
This means the magic moment for your premise (and therefore the main conversion to sales) is delayed quite a bit. The first small magic moment is when someone sees a notification that was useful. However unless the user acts on this information, he will soon get annoyed with these.
So then I'd focus on just one of those but take the flow end-end.
So if a competitor publishes a new blog, you have a perfect flow for that already gives the user a pre-written article that used their branding and other articles + new competitor article as a seed.
Furthermore something like this I wouldn't start as a full app either.
Your power users will be folks who want automation. They'll want bigger volume and more robust integration so I'd start it as an API service + Zapier app.
The reason I say that is because we were in a similar position with https://getsalemaker.com this year, and I wish we would've done what I wrote here.

Which bios do you mean? Linkedin, for example? And how would you want to decide which people? ;-)
