Kelley Blue Book hit 1 million downloads across their apps, and their newly relaunched app already has 273,000+ users. Clearly a proven, massive category. But KBB itself flags in its own documentation that pricing accuracy varies for rare or low-volume vehicles, and most tools still require manually entering every field one at a time.
It's on .app too, Google's own TLD that comes with mandatory built-in HTTPS across every site, no configuration needed.
The concept: an AI powered car valuation companion at https://carvaluation.app/ that analyzes vehicle details, market conditions, and pricing trends to provide accurate car valuations, helping users instantly estimate the true value of any vehicle before buying, selling, or trading.

Given how dominant KBB already is, curious what this community thinks, is accuracy on edge cases enough of a wedge, or is KBB's brand trust too strong to compete with directly?
The edge case accuracy angle is interesting but KBB's brand trust is very hard to compete with directly. A better wedge might be a specific audience — like classic car buyers or EV owners — where KBB is weakest and accuracy matters most.
