Content Aggregators

I'm about to start building a content aggregator in an niche I enjoy, for fun.

Two quick questions:

Any pitfalls I need to be aware of before I start?
And if I start enjoying this as much as I hope, what's the chance that this might turn into a viable side gig? (i.e. are they profitable?)
