Content generation strategy software for YouTubers
Hello fellow Indie hackers!
I'm working on a product which is focused on helping content creators and YouTubers dissect, analyze, drill-down and auto-respond to user feedback. The tool uses AI to help YouTubers get a detailed analysis of the following:
1.) What topics are my viewers talking about?
2.) What are topics that are liked or disliked by people who watch my video?
3.) What do people want to see in the future videos? What are they recommending me to post about? What questions do they have?
4.) How can I focus my content generation strategy to stay ahead of my competitors and acquire a larger follower base?
5.) What does my audience look like and how can I target similar profiles?
6.) How can I send an automatic personalized message to increase engagement with my users?
7.) And many more....
Our main goal here is to make a deeper connection between you and your audience, thereby creating a stronger bond. This would lead to higher views and following, better engagement and interactions and eventually bigger revenue.
Would love to get a feedback from this amazing community about the idea and different ways through which we can improve on. What would be some of the ways through which I can start validating my idea? Having a hard time to find a community or group that is designed more towards medium to big youtubers. Thank you!
I do see how answering those questions could help creators.
But I'm wondering: how well can you deliver what you promise? Sounds like you are trying to solve many problems at once. Number 1-2 seem easy NLP tasks. 3, 4, and 6 seem to be very difficult questions to answer with AI (as far as I can judge). Regarding 5: I'm not sure whether YouTube's Terms & Conditions in regard to data usage allows you to do that?
Aside from the technical & legal aspects: I'm not sure whether your proposed solution would help "make a deeper connection between you and your audience, thereby creating a stronger bond." I personally don't build strong bonds by knowing quantified data about people, but by actually interacting with them (not through automated messages).
It seems to me like you went out with a solution (AI) looking for problems to solve. Much of startup advice tells us to go the other way around (that is, identify problems and find the right tools to solve them, which may or may not be AI).
To answer your question on how to validate your idea: read The Moms Test by Rob Fitzpatrick, and Arvid Kahl's The Embedded Entrepreneur. Then find your users in communities, and first listen & then talk to them.

As you correctly pointed out, there are some challenges to get to those functionalities completely, but I do have a vague roadmap to get there. Point number 5 is more of personalized communication than automation.
By bridging the gap between content creators and consumers, the product aims to provide a win-win situation to both parties. I believe there is a lot of potential in the untapped user feedback, that's been often overlooked. Hope the community feels the same way. That will be validated only once I start talking and getting feedback.

Two more thoughts: if I were you I would 1. narrow down my focus (try to solve 1 or 2 of your 6 points described above). I would decide where to focus by 2. joining some of the hundreds of content-creator communities, listen to their problems and talk to some of the creators in those communities. this should help you decide what features to build first.
