We're trying to validate several ideas by sending some traffic to our landing pages/blog posts, but getting the traffic is a hard thing when you're small. We're experimenting with context ads, but they're quite expensive. Just wanted to hear from the IH community what works for whom and should we even bother.
Things we've tried so far:
Google ads: most expensive, $2.57 avg CPC on our keywords, even though we've installed gtag, I couldn't find how to show conversions in their dashboard. I'd estimate a signup cost at ~$40, which is pretty expensive.
FB ads: a bit less expensive but still. About $25 per signup. I feel like the audience is of a much worse quality for our case (B2B, productivity tools).
-FB retargeting: we're trying to show different app use-cases to everyone who've visited the site. Interestingly, we used to be getting some super low CPCs until... we've added a conversion tracking. Now it's even more expensive than when we target a broad audience, about $30 per signup and something insane per click. Not sure if my observation is right.
Interested to try:
Has anyone had any experience with these? Any tips on how to get cheaper traffic?
Thanks!
