Cool hack for interviewing customers

Hi Hackers,

Are you doing "mom tests" or structured interviews? I thought I'd share a cute hack I use (actively over the past few days).

Open your airtable.com account (you can do this with a free account).

1. Create a new base
2. Change the view to form view
3. Add fields according to your interview questions - I like using "long text" fields to allow for complex answers
4. Click the open form button on your computer before you start the interview.
5. Fill out the form while interviewing the users on your own computer (i.e. use the form as documentation)
6. Switch back to Grid View to see the answers.

This allows a couple of things:

• Standardized format
• Easily write down the answers
• Review the answers all in one place.
