Copied idea after sharing it here
Shortly after sharing a rather stealth project here, a clone appeared. Complete with scraped content and replicated UX.
It's not a new phenomenon to copy products, but I'm wondering if lazy makers are browsing around here for ideas.
Did it happen to any other members?
Had a project of mine cloned, maybe I shouldn't have said how easy it was to build and how many visitors it got.
I know a ton of folks are on here looking for ideas.
You will see the same stuff being built all the time. With 0 idea how to market it.
Downtime monitors, privacy analytics seem to be huge (like 5-10+ companies), website builders and much more.
Weird they copied a stealth project they usually target those with high revenue.
I wonder if there's any success stories of copycat. The amount of effort to do marketing for a new idea is substantial. Without the passion, it's hard t sustain the effort.
