Hi everyone,
A quick update on CostNest.
A while ago, I shared that the site had reached 78 free calculators and tools. Today, I'm happy to say CostNest has officially crossed 100 tools.
The biggest lesson so far is that building the tools is only part of the journey. I've spent just as much time working on SEO, fixing technical issues, improving internal linking, and trying to make the site more useful for visitors.
Current progress:
• 100+ free calculators and tools
• 72+ pages indexed by Google
• Search impressions continuing to grow
• Ongoing improvements to content quality and user experience
One thing I've learned is that growing a utility website requires a lot of patience. Some pages get indexed quickly, while others take weeks or even months. Every update teaches me something new about search intent, user behavior, and building products that solve real problems.
My next goals are:
• Improve indexing and search visibility
• Strengthen internal linking across the site
• Continue improving existing tools and content
• Prepare the site for long-term growth and monetization
For now, I'm slowing down on adding new tools and focusing more on improving the 100 that already exist.
I'd love to hear from other builders. What made the biggest difference in growing your utility website or SEO-focused project?
