Could buying/selling ideas work?

I'm thinking about whether an idea marketplace would work. We all know that ideas are worthless. But based on my experience, validated ideas/customer requested ideas are really valuable. Those are not the ideas that you can just google out.

Would you be interested in buying/selling validated ideas in an online marketplace?

How do you sell an idea without giving it away?

Good question. I'm thinking the listing could reveal a brief version of the idea. After purchase, the full details will be provided.

Hi, interesting. In my country, there is a website where you can buy copyrighted projects. Some people buy even if it is not validated ideas.

Good to know, could you share the link of that website? I would love to take a look at it.

If it could work there already would be a market for that. But that there is no market for ideas tells you that it’s not worth anything.

Ideas are worthless, execution is everything.

Take note that I'm saying worthless not useless, with that I mean that the value of an idea is 0$ and that's one of the reasons why successful people out there recommends not treasuring ideas like if they were worth millions but instead validate them as soon as possible with friends and potential customers.
If ideas had any value by itself no one would look for exposure and validation before having a complete product.

We all have 20 ideas per day but luckily we may execute a few per year.
That's why franchises are so popular and good as investments, everything is already figured and battle tested and you only have to implement it.

BTW did you pay attention that ideas cannot be patented but inventions can?

So tell me do you agree or disagree?

Finally a free idea (if you sell it invite me to a beer):
    Marketplace for projects.
If you have not enough traction, time, money or whatever reason you may sell the project to someone else.

I like idea "ideas", or meta ideas. Let me know if you plan to work on this. What if you made a site that validated ideas for people? Validation as a Service?

There are lots of resources for getting new ideas, just that most of them aren't attractive to specific people, because by nature they are probably quite picky if their even going to these sites to research for more ideas.

I have this very same problem and made pitchgen.co a while back, still not sure what to do with it. I could improve the model and such but this idea itself is not validated.

Yes, I will let you know!

I think there are lots of resources to get ideas, but it's hard to prove their value without validation or a proper business plan. Maybe some of them have a good market but no one could tell.

Validation as a Service would be an interesting concept as well. It eliminates one side of the market (seller), but the work is shifted to us. I'm not sure if there is a scalable way to validate ideas. For me, the validation process is almost like art, there is no silver bullet.

I think you could enhance it , let people posting ideas on your website then you give a score on what they proposed , it could benefit both sides.

Yes i think we are confused about this '' ideas are worthless '', what is worthless is business thoughts wich go through your mind, business ideas are thought that you prepare with a bit of pondering etc
