Could I have done it better?

So yesterday I launched a side project that I’ve been working on for about a month now. (Shopifypages.com) it’s nothing fancy, just a list of cute Shopify stores.

8 hours after it’s up on Product hunt, I got a notification that someone followed me, I was like huh? Because basically I did not do any promotion on it, as a matter of fact I created the social media pages about 3 hours before it was launched on Product hunt.

So I head over to Producthunt to see who followed me, man! I was shocked by what I saw, 33 upvotes already? Now I know this might sound like I’m being over dramatic but this was the first time my product got more than 5 upvotes, if any of you remember you know I’m the creator of Alichimp which didn’t do well in the real world and also only got 2 upvotes on product hunt so seeing my 2 product hitting that amount of votes meant a lot to me, and the what baffles me the most is that the same way I launched Alichimp was the exact same way I did with Shopifypages. At the time of writing this Shopifypages is still on the front page with over 100 upvotes.

What can I say? I’m really glad
