I created a wiki for Google Drive, that aims to be a Confluence alternative for G Suite users. The idea is, that you don't have to misuse Google Docs or Keep to collaborate on ideas, link, code snippets, etc.
You find it at: https://awiki-245320.appspot.com
I came up with the idea when I was searching for a personal wiki that works well with my Google Drive. After I didn't find anything, I figured that I roll my own.
In my professional career I was a product owner for a Confluence-based intranet solution called Linchpin(https://linchpin-intranet.com/). So I had some background in knowledge management.
On more thing: If you are a native speaker, could you comment on the name? I looked it up in the urban dictionary and the description is not very pleasant :). But I don't know how big of a deal this slang use is.
Really like the idea. We are using gsuite a lot. We use docs for documentation, which is fine for writing but very cumbersome for reading.
Could not get it to work do I have to enable something first? :
Error: redirect_uri_mismatch
Sorry: The url is of course https://awiki-245320.appspot.com/
It has to start with httpS otherwise Google auth will not work.
I got it to work on my regular account, it wouldn't with my G-Suite account for some reason. Stuck at the login screen.
Looks good so far. Never used confluence but I've been pondering knowledge management myself as I'm in a few closed groups that share information like crazy. One is G Drive heavy.
Is this going to be a cloud service or something you can roll on your own?
G Suite features are not implemented so far. Right now this is still an MVP.
Next Sprint I plan to add collaboration features like sharing and commenting. The Sprint after that I plan to add shared drives.
The idea is that everything is saved in G Drives. Personal or Shared Drives. Fulcrum only supplies the client. G Drive is the backend. So there is no on premise installation.
Hope that clarifies.
It does. Thanks!
My first bug report =)
Looks like almost like an official Google product.
Which editor do you use?
The editor is my own creation build with slatejs(https://www.slatejs.org/#/rich-text)
