Counter-intuitive: Sending a newsletter daily

I often see newsletter sign-ups specify that you shouldn't worry, they won't email you more than once per week. It's as if they assume subscribers don't want their content.

So I decided to test something out - I explicitly made my newsletter a daily newsletter and made that clear upfront. My hypothesis was that it would probably not be all that popular, but I was wrong! I've had a landing page and a form on the blog up for 2 days and have already gotten 25 subs. These are people that have willingly decided to get emails from me every day

Has anyone else done something like this before?

Counter-intuitive: Sending a newsletter daily ... I often see newsletter sign-ups specify that you shouldn't worry, they won't email you more than once per week.On average, the best frequency for newsletters are no more than twice a week and at least once a month. In fact, more and more consumers want to receive emails from brands. 61% of consumers want to see at least one email a week from brands they follow. So sending out a weekly newsletter is what most audiences want.
