Course Creators—How many of you are doing this full time?
Just curious to see how many course creators are working on courses full time (or most of your time if you have a few side hustles).
Also, are any of you guys working on multiple courses at once? I’ve launched one course but have several in the pipeline and have been playing around with batching the course content creation (as opposed to just hunkering down and working on one course at a time).
Obviously there are huge potential earnings with top selling courses. So I figure there must be a few full time course creators on here.

I am working on a learning infrastructure platform and have created several courses, put them on YouTube, Udemy, Skillshare etc. to get user feedback/ interaction data. Currently I use Teachable for my cybersecurity courses and a business skill academy I build with partners, where I teach course creation.
I analysed a lot of course platforms and teachers and would say full-time works if you have additional offers/ upsells. But it takes a time to build and optimize sales funnels, especially in B2B.

Hey this might be not related but I wrote a short guide this morning about how to chose and take courses online, you can share this with people to make them see the value in your online courses :
Online courses are one of the most beautiful stuff on the internet, but there’s a lot of them, we can not take them all, so how to chose the right courses for you? even when people (including me) decide on something to study they still make a lot of mistakes that makes the results of their study so poor!
It’s around 4:00 am (3/11/2022) I started making some progress on my current course, but some questions started to come to my mind about this whole process of taking online courses, so I decided to write this document or manual of how to take online courses and make the most out of this cool resource.
# How to chose a course?
That’s the most important step, you might think of other formulas but here I will share mine, if you like it use it, if you don’t think of something better that suits your situation.
There’s two kinds of courses I would love to take :
(1) The theoretical courses, where my overall goal is to gain some knowledge and understand how something works, where your goal is to have new ideas in your mind, for example a computer science course, to lean what are algorithms, binary and how the computer work, your end goal is not building something, but understanding something.
(2) The technical courses that teaches things I don’t have a lot of touch with in my life, for example excel, I will never touch this software currently in my life, I don’t use it in any side project, and I’m not planning to, but I still want to learn how to use excel, so taking courses like this is very beneficial, but technical courses like web development will be a waste of my time because currently I’m working on multiple web based projects!
# How to take a course?
When taking a theoretical course, the most important thing you need to pay attention to is the material the course offers, because that’s what will help you understand the topic, take notes, watch/ read carefully, pay attention to the details.
Technical courses is where people do a lot of mistakes, they treat them like theoretical courses, they prioritize the material over everything, and projects are just a secondary thing they have to do (or not do in some cases!!!) to finish the course, it’s the opposite, you should start out with the projects, start experimenting, and building, when you encounter some missing theory you need to discover go back quick to the material figure it out, or google it if you don’t find help in the material, and go back to the practice, I recommend you read this article : Learn by exploration, then by theory.

This is the only course I am working on but am working on other very different projects as well (for example https://nangu.eco). To me this this is also a question of creating a life rhythm which suits well for me. Right now I can't imaging working on this full time, just because I also love to work on other things.
