🦠 COVID-19 Impact?

Anyone seeing immediate impact from COVID-19 on their business? Noticing a slight traffic decrease on my projects.

Bro, how did you create that icon?!

I work in D2C food tech (jimmyjoy.com). We produce and sell food that has a long shelf life. We are seeing an 50-75% increase in sales.

My business is in the travel industry and it's bad. As in almost-no-income-and-still-decreasing bad. No affiliate sales, no ad income, and clients are canceling/not booking marketing campaigns.

My charity depends on people buying VIP tickets to TV shows, visiting sets of TV shows, movie premiere tickets. People are no longer traveling and the studios have suspended this.

We're providing SaaS for eCommerce professionals. As you already might know, there are many events organized in the eCommerce world on a yearly basis, and we're trying to join as many as possible events. However, due to the Coronavirus, most of the events are already canceled (expected, of course).

On top of that, we're located in Europe (Serbia), the situation is not getting any good here as similar to other European countries. As being an IT company, we also agreed that the best would be working from home, remotely.

I believe, as important as it is not to panic, equally important it is to be responsible and to do what’s in our hands to prevent the virus from spreading. I sincerely hope everything is gonna be OK soon.

With the NBA cancelled people need more of my tutorials to keep them busy 😅

      What kind of tutorials?

        It's in my profile

Yes, my company is in the EventTech industry. A lot of conferences are starting to cancel. So far only one of my customers has cancelled their conference but I'm guessing more will follow.

Yes. I'm the founder of a nonprofit which hosts online fundraising auctions with a Hollywood theme; set visits to TV shows, VIP tickets to tv shows, movie premiere's etc. Unfortunately, that was our only source of income. (We're in the midst accepting people into our program as well). Bids stopped 6 weeks ago and donations have halted. Zero income for 6 weeks+ from our only source of funding.

Same thing happened during 9/11. From feast to famine. I had to close office, work from home and let staff go in order to survive. See that as a possibility this time around too.

I have had to go back and request sponsorships the old-fashioned way; through past supporters. Hoping that will bring in funds next week. We'll see.

I have my own businesses and make some income, but the auction was the main source. Charities are really impacted by this... and the fact that the Governor of California has not declared the state a "disaster area" yet, is stopping small businesses and nonprofits from applying for loans/grants from the SBA.

We are seeing good traction on our online education products, especially Eduflow (www.eduflow.com) for hosting online courses. 100% growth in daily active users in the last week.

A lot of media buyers (FB & IG Ads especially) are seeing their ROAS go way down.

I work in AR, so the non prototype/MVP projects are mostly marketing, evenly divided between in-store/event activations, and universal FB/Insta lenses or Unity3D apps.

Obviously all the instore/in-person stuff in my pipeline has ground to a halt. However pure-digital experiences are continuing. I'm actually somewhat bullish as to the impact this will have on AR for e-commerce.

People still need to sell physical stuff, and they will need to sell that stuff to people in isolation over the coming months. Budgets will be slashed, but also any allocations for store renovation, VM, marketing to drive foot-traffic etc is now on the table for the digital side of things. I'm hoping to start arguing some particular cases in a few weeks once the panic/paralysis has worn off and people are planning properly again.
