COVID-19 SAAS idea feedback

Due to COVID-19 restaurants have a problem using paper menus. They have started using QR code-based menus. There are a few startups that do that. Their pricing is around $5-$10 per month for a QR code hosting. I have already made a website that's easy to use and only charges for $1 per month and offers unlimited QR generation.

  • What do you think of this and its challenges?
  • What are major roadblocks in the road ahead? I'm thinking more about marketing strategies and how to reach the market. I will be happy to know your feedback on this idea too.

Could you share your website URL? To get an idea of what you are offering. I have seen some businesses in this space that only allow businesses upload an existing menu and then it generates the QR code. Whereas on other sites you can create your menu and then get the QR code.

Let's assume your product rocks. Your challenges are marketing and scaling. Is $1 viable? Are customers that price sensitive? Customer acquisition costs are likely to scupper your model. But that's ok because you can charge more. Imagine you had an extra $12 for every customer acquired to spend on marketing to get the next customer onboard. Sound good? Charge $2 a month. But even that's low compared to competitors. So charge $5 a month but add some more interesting offers.
