I saw this trend in some places like GCP with Gemini, Aws with Amazon Q or Supabase with Ask AI, among others, but they're all custom-implemented solutions, so I created ExplainIt to allow anybody to create a powerful chatbot for their documentation site without investing resources in the development and maintaining, you just want devs to build with your stuff, the more they can do the better, the quicker the better, and if they get a smooth experience while doing it then that's legendary already.
As a developer myself, I would love to see ExplainIt in every documentation site, I come to the site with a question, I want to get an answer, and keep going with my stuff. Imagine also loading common issues, practices, etc. All at the reach of a message. Don't scare away clients because of poor documentation anymore.

Good thing It’s already getting good traffic! 2 days ago decided to do just a simple hacker news post and so far got more than 2k visits and already getting some signups. Given the little effort, I’m already pretty happy with it.
Side project build with nestjs, prisma, postgress with pgvector for embeddings, and nextjs for the frontend. Also, puppeter for js rendering and langchain for llm utilities. The best part is I spent some time in the past crafting a modular app, that allows me to quickly spin up new ones with minimal effort, include and remove modules through dependency injection, events and interfaces. For instance. Deployed through docker.
