Created a beautiful Calendly alternative; would love some feedback

Hey everyone,

WeTransfer made the mundane task of sending files more exciting with beautiful backgrounds.
TypeForm made the mundane task of filling out forms more exciting with great design.

TimeTuna.com aims to make the mundane task of scheduling meetings more exciting.

I co-founded TimeTuna because I believe there should be a nicer way to connect with others. Not based on transactions but based on values and aesthetics.

We focus on helping people share their brand and how they present themselves to new connections. This helps connect with people even before you talk to them. Building trust and helping to get the conversation started.

I'd love to get your feedback on this. Let me know why you would/would not use this!

Looks really good and feels smooth! I think for sure it would be something I'd use.

However, I noticed a small issue. When choosing to see the live demo, it took a long time for the background dancing girl video to play. Like 5-10 seconds. So I thought your site was broken.
I am in Denmark, so your hosting might be some distance away so it might take some time for the file to reach me.

I'd recommend either trying to optimize how you distribute larger files, or have a static image that can load quickly, and then turns into the video when it arrives. In cases such as mine. I see in another comment you wrote there was a fallback, but for me, that was just a completely white canvas.

      Hi @Kakudos,

Thanks for the feedback. That is indeed - not the experience we expect.
Currently we don't host videos, and I think we need to optimise their size and store them locally, for the fastest load.

Looks great, I like the design. Does it integrate with zoom, hangouts, google meet etc?

    1. 1

      Hey @thekiefthief,
Today it supports sync with Google calendar, and meeting links via Google Meet. The next step for us is to support Outlook calendars, and meeting links via Zoom.

  3. 3

Well done brother 👏love the design

      Thank you! Appreciate it!

Love the simplistic design of timetuna!
Just to let you know, there are some issue with mobile css. The view, duplicate, edit and delete sort of overshot the mobile screen width.

    1. 2

Thanks for the feedback @NumbersNinja! We addressed this issue in the mobile screen now.

    2. 2

Thanks for the feedback! Our mobile view definitely still needs work! 😂 We will look into it!

This looks great. The design really stands out compared to other scheduling tools. I’m curious though, do the visuals or animations affect performance at all, especially on slower connections or mobile?

    1. 1

Hey @DakotaBuilds, I am glad you resonate!
The page loads fast, and the video loads later. So technically even if there are issues with video load - the page is is functional. If there are issues loading the video there is a fallback to the image background which the booking page host chose. While we have diverse feedback coming from our users, the load issue was not yet one.

I have always been a fan of what Yannick builds. This one also hits the mark. The UI and first look looks slick! The custom backgrounds and form layout standout the most for me. Loved the new POV in the scheduling domain. Thanks for sharing! All the best!!

Yannick is great :) It is a pleasure working with him!

I have a mini consulting biz with witty vibes on social media. But i use boring app for booking. This is a great alternative.. I'll make it fit my brand voice. Gonna try it asap . Thanks for sharing!!

Glad you like it, Arunima! :)

How would you promote this? What are good communities to talk about this product?

  8. 2

Definitely interesting. Do you have a free trial?

    1. 1

It’s actually free to use forever. We do have a pro plan with some extra features.

      1. 1

        great, will look into it

  9. 2

There is something quite Cluely-like to this page.
Hope you guys have the same success

    1. 1

I didn’t know of Cluely yet. I’ll check it ou! 👍

Love the idea! Scheduling tools usually look so boring a beautiful UX can make a big difference. Did you design it mainly for freelancers or wider use?

    1. 1

      Thanks @krick,
To be honest I was inspired to develop a tool for myself. I love scheduling tools, and I wanted to design one which I feel excited sharing with others. While today it is mostly addressing the needs of B2C customers (think startup founders, designers, photographers, film producers, etc), we make it more B2B ready over time (think sales funnels, recruitment, real estate etc).

In comparison to the most common alternatives, such as Calendly and Cal, TimeTuna looks very fresh. I guess 10 years ago such tool could not be possible as high bandwidth internet was not widespread to quickly load those beautiful video backgrounds.

    1. 1

Yeah, we believe there should be a market here for us.

  12. 1

This looks really refreshing! I love how you’re focusing on design and human connection rather than just functionality — that’s something most scheduling tools overlook. The idea of expressing personal or brand aesthetics through a meeting link feels modern and meaningful. Definitely checking out TimeTuna — curious to see how the user experience compares to Calendly. Great work! 👏 Click here. modern mullet

The aesthetic angle is good. Standard scheduling links can feel very transactional.

If your targeting high-value clients this could be a great way to stand out. A branded page pre-frames the call and builds rapport before you even speak. We've found that small personal touches like this can really help with booking rates from cold outreach.

Happy to share some stats if you're interested :)

Congrats on the launch! Excited to see more — signed up to test it out.

      Thanks @FRIED_RICE!

That’s such a refreshing approach, Yannick! I really like how TimeTuna focuses on human connection and aesthetics — it’s something many scheduling tools overlook. The concept of building trust before the conversation even starts is genuinely powerful.

I recently explored something similar with my own project — TheDavesHotChickenMenu
    — where we tried to turn something as ordinary as browsing a food menu into a fun, visually engaging experience. Seeing your work with TimeTuna is inspiring; it shows how much potential there is in reimagining simple, everyday interactions with better design and emotion behind them.

Wishing you the best with TimeTuna — love to see founders who care about making tech feel more human! 👏🔥

Alternate too calendly or better version keep working

  18. 1

Love the idea and the design! One suggestion, the part I hate most about scheduling is filling out the calendar invite details, like the title, date, time, location. It seems that right now you need to do that still. It'd be great if that was automated intelligently somehow.

  19. 1

Really like the idea of turning a utility (scheduling) into a brand experience—it reminds me of how Typeform didn’t “just collect answers,” it turned forms into a conversation. If TimeTuna can make scheduling feel like an extension of someone's personality or brand, there’s definitely a space for that—especially for creators, consultants, and founders who live on first impressions.

    1. 1

Exactly! :) Appreciate the kind words!

  20. 1

Making the experience more personal and visually warm could really help freelancers, coaches, and creators stand out.
Excited to see how TimeTuna evolves — are you planning to add branding or profile customization features too?

    1. 1

What would you add for customization features?

  21. 1

This is such a refreshing perspective!
I love how you’re focusing on the human and aesthetic side of meetings — most scheduling tools feel so robotic.

      Hi @ghazalkhan100!
Currently everyone on a free plan can customise the video / image background, the avatar and the user name. Customers on paid plans can customise the form fields, the branding (they can remove TimeTuna branding), customise the confirmation message, and 2 buttons they show up after the booking is made.

  22. 1

I love how simple and intuitive the UI feels. It's rare to see tools in this space stay so clean while still being functional, great attention to detail in spacing and flow. Feels effortless to use.

    1. 1

I am glad you like it :) We indeed try to make TimeTuna great from design perspective

  23. 1

This is such a cool spin on something we all manage day in and day out scheduling. I particularly appreciate how TimeTuna moves the attention away from mere logistics and towards connection and presentation. It's not wrong, after all, that first impressions tend to begin before the meeting even takes place, and introducing brand and personality into that arena feels like a tiny but nice innovation.

I’d definitely be curious to try it out especially if it keeps that balance between function and aesthetics without adding friction. Making everyday tools a little more human and thoughtful is exactly what modern work need

      Hey @Alixs8,

The onboarding from clicking the button "try for free" and getting the working booking page with a great background connected to your Google Calendar takes under 20 seconds (we timed it).

For the human touch, there is a button that helps you to generate a message based on your booking page availability:

"I want to make sure we meet at the time convenient for you. Let me know if you have a booking page (e.g. TimeTuna / Calendly) I can use to see your availability. These are some slots that work for me (25 minutes each): 1) Monday, Oct 20 at 2:00 PM 2) Tuesday, Oct 21 at 4:00 PM 3) Wednesday, Oct 22 at 2:00 PM Feel free to see more timeslots here: https://timetuna.com/pavel"

This is a really nice spin on the boring old scheduling apps, and adds a lot of depth / personalization to scheduling calls. Have you received any premium customers yet?

    1. 1

Yes, we do have some Pro customers from the UK and the Netherlands

Love the vision behind TimeTuna! I totally get how WeTransfer and TypeForm turned routine tasks into something visually engaging, and it’s awesome to see you applying that same principle to scheduling with a focus on aesthetics and personal branding. The idea of building trust through a polished, value-driven presentation before the conversation even starts is super compelling, especially for freelancers or small businesses who want to make a strong first impression.

Incredible insights 👏 — really resonated with your “learn faster by doing” mindset.
I love how Supademo blended product-led virality with freemium experimentation — especially the “try before you buy” approach and reverse trials. That’s exactly the kind of motion many early-stage SaaS builders (like me with BusinessAdBooster) aim to achieve.
The focus on personalization-at-scale with agentic AI is spot on — feels like the next evolution of interactive SaaS experiences. 🚀
