Creating a course on automation – what do you want to know how to do?

I'm doing a pre-launch of an online course on automation and I'm wondering, what else do people want to know how to automate? What are some automation pain points? What do you wish to learn how to automate?

I'd love to know how to use available data sources to automate my research process. For example, what are the value propositions of all my competitors (gleaned from their website and ad campaigns), what do people love / hate about their products (from reviews and social media), what does their brand look like (gleaned from ad campaigns and social posts), what are the top searches related to a category.

No idea if any of this is possible, but this is just my wishlist:-).

Anything that saves cash + replaces and expensive SaaS is probably a good start. On the top of my head:

    – Alerts for downtimes, mentions, errors
    – Getting ready-to-use metrics and insights
    – Sticking together services, advanced use cases of Zapier
    – Pet projects, e.g. how to create a Twitter bot that is pulled data from APIs, transforms them and posts them

Great ideas. I pretty much am going to show all those things in the course. I guess I need to highlight that better.
