Creating a Food Delivery App (New Concept!)

Can anyone explain to me why there is no food delivery API? So much innovation would be possible if there was one.

I'm exploring an option to build an MVP in the food delivery industry. It's exciting because I have a new concept and this is a 150B$ industry growing over 10% a year.

For this to work, I'm looking for an easy way to scale automated food delivery globally fast and cheaply. Does anyone know if this is possible? The stupid thing is, there is no public api for food delivery.

Instead of an API, another option is onboarding restaurants that deliver themselves onto your own platform. I think I'm going for this, but if anyone knows a better, more MVP-like option that's easier to scale globally fast, let me know!
