Hello guys! I already created my first solo founder project a year ago which is already reaching 1K MRR, but I always have the feeling of creating a backup project, or a second business which could help me to keep on track. I am full time with my projects, so time wouldn't be a problem.
I would love to hear from you what experiences have you had creating your second project. Is it easier to have two projects because you already know how to build the whole infrastructure? Was it a bad idea because the first growing project just didn't had your full attention?
Great thread, I think @damon or @tbll75 could talk about this a lot
My current though process is that it's easier to go from $X MRR to $2X MRR than 0 to $X MRR
So that's why we are trying to not launch any new SaaS except if it's directly helping the first to grow
What is the motivation behind starting a second project?
If the first project is already generating revenue, you've already proven people are willing to pay for it. If that's the case, why not invest all your time in marketing?
The thrill of starting something new is big and with the experience of the first project, implementation becomes easier. Also I've seen many entrepreneurs managing multiple projects at a time and doing great. That would be the motivation behind.
Also investing more time in marketing sounds nice and challenging!
