Hi to all you indie hackers,
I read a blog post from Baremetrics about rolling out your own explainer video.
There were so many steps needed to create a simple video that only panned and zoomed on an app. In the post, the author mentions having to record the demo, edit it on Screenflow, and then using Photoshop to export the video.
The bulk of the work is using Screenflow because you have to learn how to use it.
What if there was an app that let you easily create explainer videos without having to learn a generalist video editing software? The app would only include the necessary tools for creating explainer videos.
I am starting to build Flowrecord to simplify the process of creating explainer videos for landing pages.

This app can also save you $x,xxx because you don't have to worry about hiring a marketing agency to create an explainer video for you.
Would you buy an app that helped you to create explainer videos? Also, I am looking to trade feedback on ideas. Please reply to this thread, and we can exchange feedback!
Hi!
It would indeed be great to have a very very simple app helping us to create explainer videos about our ideas/projects!
I would use such app to make explanatory videos of my project ideas. If your business model is freemium, I would definitely try the free version (like Canva.com)
Hi @Loicboset, I launched Flowrecord at https://flowrecord.com/. I would love to exchange a Pro account for feedback.
That’s actually a great timing as I was thinking of adding an explainer video to my current project! Shout me an email when you have time so we can move forward!
