Creating informational content, is this a pain point for you?

Recently I needed to create some basic training material for my app. I find dealing with raw HTML cumbersome and slow, so I used what I'm most familiar with, Microsoft Word, to create text with inline graphics without needing any extra scripting knowledge.

Getting this article exactly into a website was a nightmare. Even with exporting to HMTL or using Wordpress plugins it still loses pixel-perfect formatting. Plus responsiveness needs to be considered. The Table of Contents section doesn't port easy and needs to be redone, and then wanting to set up expandable TOC requires extra work again.

Alongside these technical issues, were the questions regarding the content itself. Such as the arragnement of the information, the headers/categories and layout style aswell. What are the blueprint steps to create good quality informational content is an important question.

Is this a problem you've experienced or solved through no-code tools?

  1. 1

I have not solved this problem through no-code tools, unfortunately. We used html to develop our latest piece.

There are some document management tools but they seem too complex for the average startup or small biz. Plus haven't found any type of wizard like system to nurture the article structure itself, which would reduce some of the cognitive load and help standardize things.
