Creating my own subredit for product discussions
Just wondering if anyone has made a subreddit to enable discussions with customers about their product?
Is it easy to get approval to do it?
I consider my customer base (for personizer) to be less tech-savvy than average, is Reddit maybe not the best place then? Because it is skewed towards more tech people.
I did this as a experiment to make a sub on the topic that my project works in - ie warranties - it's easy to do - no real "approval" needed. But you do need a karma level so if you haven't go and join some boards and build some karma first.
I think it's ideal for non-techie folks as it comes packed with features that make it easy to discuss. It has a app that will synch them. Plus it's free but they will see ads for other products. Also they need to go to a site not related to your own.
Otherwise it might be better to use disqus or something to integrate into your site so you can keep them there?
