Google just published the top trending searches in 2024. They categorized their top searches by several topics: sports, news and pop culture. Some of the topics—like the U.S. election—are quite obvious, unless you've been living under a rock. But others are more surprising. I'm not exactly a music geek myself, so I was surprised to learn that the top-trending song of the year was “Not Like Us” by Kendrick Lamar.

They not like us, they not like us 🗣️

The most-searched game is "Connections", which is probably NYT's Connections game. I play all the NYT games and my friends and I talk about Connections, the most. Unlike the others it's very mind bender-y and worth discussing and sharing.

I've been thinking about building a similar game for Indie Hackers, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I just need a way to "indie hacker-ify" it and make it more relevant to founders.

The crazy thing is; since I started to use perplexity.ai I barely use the Google search.
