Criticize this Idea

A home security system based purely on sound analysis. You would need a few microphone-like devices spread around the home and it would listen for signs of a person, break-in or something to indicate someone was inside the building.

No door alarms
No window alarms
No motion sensors

I am not sure this is a good idea. It's too complicated to build. I prefer to have motion sensors and alarms. There is no need at all to get rid of them. SecuringHome - and your system should provide all info to the police and your security firm.

    What about infrared signatures?

Most home security systems provide extremely accurate information to the user and to the police. If your service can only tell me someone was in my home and nothing else then it won't be as useful as a service that can tell me that window X was used as a point of entry at exactly this time. Also, a lot of home security systems are monitored to prevent false positives. Can your system be monitored by a security company? Even if it was what information will the operators of such a system be able to go off of? Window alarms, door alarms, motion sensors, and cameras have a purpose. Why are you trying to get rid of them?
