Critique my blog post - go on, you know you want to.

I've posted here before about my marketing nous (or complete lack thereof). Following some great advice here, I took the plunge of putting myself and my startup out there through this blog post on Medium (I do plan to cross-post, and ultimately migrate to my own domain later on). I plan to write a few more.

The link is here (https://medium.com/@hindsights/patent-searching-and-analysis-sucks-but-what-if-they-didnt-5bf7f651f04b). To start with, I wrote about the "why" of choosing this startup, and plan to post a little about everything, including my personal story, tech used in building the site, and professional journey here.

I would appreciate any feedback, particularly on where the content is good/bad, how it could be improved, in helping us find the right audience, and getting the name out there.

Thanks so much :)

Reading your post provides interesting information, I don't know much about patents and I feel like I got a glimpse of the problems you're trying to expose.

However, I probably wouldn't have clicked on it if it wasn't for your post here - I do not find the title very inspiring (The "Why I did" format is only interesting when what follows is highly unconventional - "why I did not sleep for a week", "why I moved to Namibia after college", etc... ). Building a saas is not as catchy, even for the tech-friendly crowd.
Maybe something like "Reading a patent sucks, and this is what I did about it" or "The data goldmine you're not paying attention to: patents" or something similar would be more attractive.

An interesting picture would be cool :) I personally strongly associate patent with Thomas Edison, so a pic of him would cut through the noise and let me know what exactly we're talking about.

    Peace

I loved this tip, and the rationale behind it. Thanks so much :)
