Crowdshipping: part 2

Hi everyone! I still not abandoned the idea to become an indie hacker πŸ˜„

I had a post about my first business idea about a month ago, now, after some advice-asking, I came up with the next steps to validate it:

  1. Try to prove it's won't work
  2. Prototype the idea (try to manually do the whole way of the delivery pipeline)

So I've finished the 1st step, I considered my Idea is possible. The main issues I had to ask were:

  • How I can protect couriers from exploiting them as narco couriers
  • How I can pay couriers without considering them as employees and without complex bureaucracy
  • How I can protect delivery receivers to be fraud by the couriers

So after some researches and planning, I've got answers, I think it's enough to make my idea work:

  1. I will protect couriers by additional parcels double-check before delivery itself. Yes, I will have to hire an additional employee to do that, but those spends are important to warrant some safety and I'll still be far from DHL (or others) pricing. Courier will be free to participate that double-checking to feel more confident
  2. As I can see from BlaBla car Terms and Conditions those drivers, who organized transportation consider their spendings as transportation compensation, not as salary or income. I can do something like that, funny, BlaBla car, also, warns drivers from setting the price too high - it will be considered as income and they will have to pay taxes by themselves πŸ™‚
  3. And finally, to have an additional warranty of proper delivery I think we should seal up all parcels and let to unseal it only receiver, that will protect delivery requesters from issues with parcels and couriers from unfounded accusations

Did I miss something, what do you think? Will you trust your parcel to service like that?
