Crowdsourced list of tools available to developers
I'm working on a project that answers an annoyance for myself and I'm hoping a lot of other developers. Whenever I'm starting a new project, I have to go on a scavenger hunt online for tools for my project. I haven't found one place that only houses tools for developers to use on projects.
I decided to create a list of tools that developers have available to us to use. Whether it's content management systems, form handlers, frameworks and more.
I started making that list but would love help getting some more tools and filling in missing information for some tools in the list that I'm not familiar with. Honestly, I'm super anxious of asking for help because I'm so used to doing things all by myself. But I know that I'm not going to be able to get something like this off the ground without help from my developer community.

Of course, being the internet, where internetters internet, there are awesome lists of some awesome awesome lists - such as https://github.com/sindresorhus/awesome
One favourite of mine is https://github.com/ripienaar/free-for-dev (aka https://free-for.dev).
And, if you are a little technical, and want to keep the list of links clean, there are also tools to check the text format & the links - like I do for my own (small) list of companies that use PHP in London, UK - https://travis-ci.org/alister/php-in-london
That is dope advice. I've found some great resources using that 'magic term'!
I think instead of collecting all the tools in a particular category it would be more useful to get an recommended combination of tools for a specific group of developers. For example what would be a reasonable combination of tools for developer prefer javascript only or php only etc?
I'm going to take this into consideration. I've completed a MVP for the project and THIS would be a great idea to implement in the next phase.
