Has anybody been trying crypto payment gateway? If yes, share experience please (own or friends). I have an idea to create another one. What do you think about it?
Crypto payment gateways become much more valuable when they abstract blockchain complexity and provide production-grade reliability for businesses. Scalability, settlement speed, wallet interoperability, compliance workflows, and infrastructure stability are all critical for mainstream adoption.
Built one actually. DirectCryptoPay. Non-custodial, funds go directly wallet-to-wallet via smart contract, no intermediary. Supports 10 chains including Solana, Tron and TON, USDC/USDT/ETH. WooCommerce plugin, JS SDK, Stripe-style webhooks. The main insight from building it: the real differentiator isn't chain support, it's whether funds are custodial or not. Most gateways hold your money temporarily, that's where delays and fees come from. Non-custodial removes that layer entirely. Happy to share more details if useful.
Hey, I'm a founder in the crypto space and I toyed with this idea pretty extensively.
Examples in the wild:
https://www.eldorado.gg/ - they let you buy with crypto, they use https://coingate.com/
I feel like CoinGate kind of sucks and there could be a 10x better experience. I'd say it's worth a shot
Im building this just google “spliffpay” ,
This is a simple crypto payment tool, still on a MVP trying to prove if this is useful enough to continue developing further
