Hi Indie Hackers!
I'm considering creating a Slack community group for CTO's, one where you could ask questions, bounce ideas off of each other, etc. I'm also thinking of making it a pairing with my podcast, Code Story (https://codestory.co), where I interview CTO's and tech leaders about the products they've built. Once this is big enough and I have significant value to offer, I would like this to be a paid group.
Thoughts on the idea?
I'm a CTO and I do fractional CTO work fro several companies. I like the idea but engagement is the key. I think it's truly valuable if you can keep it to only CTOs as well. Being a dev, even a great one, isn't the same.
I'm a new CTO and would love this 😃
Hey Noah would you consider using https://meshchat.co for this - we're part of YC Startup School Winter 2020 batch that's ongoing and releasing a version that will allow some useful features that are not yet on Slack, Discord. For e.g. creating a Verified only group join (whitelist access based) and having a subscriptions charging model too. Would be happy to send you a demo of our app and get a critique on why you see yourself using it or not.
Sounds nice, even if it's just a coding community I think it will provide value, the key component is to keep it active. I've seen a lot tech communities with very low engagement, where people tend to interact less than once a month. Check https://chingu.io/ I think they do a great work somehow related
This sounds really interesting... Are there no communities like this already? I know there are some for founders who've exited companies or grew them to over $1M in value.
