Curated deals and info (specs, comparisons, etc) for power tools

I've been listening to some IH episodes lately focused on paid newsletters and essentially "curated data as a a service".

My husband has been obsessed with researching the latest power tools and deals. So I was thinking, would people be interested in a weekly curated email of the deals on specific power tools, or paid access to a database of info around different tool specs, links to related YouTube videos, reviews?

Initial thoughts would be to start with a free version and try to find online forums and communities to post in to get initial subscribers and feedback.

I'm a developer so we could start by curating manually and then build in automation to grab the data from popular sites.

But just curious if others had thoughts around the topic. While power tools arent my passion, I'm excited at the idea of building a product with my husband!
